What does a sample day look like for Half Day campers?

Half-day campers (9:00am–1:00pm) will enjoy a fun-filled morning featuring a mix of age-appropriate sports instruction, movement-based group games, creative clay play, and water activities such as inflatable slides and Hydroblast challenges. Campers also get downtime in shaded areas to recharge between activities. SAMPLE SCHEDULE

What does a sample day look like for Full Day campers?
What can we expect overall?

Expect a variety of sports, movement games, arts, crafts, water activities, and plenty of shaded breaks to keep campers cool, engaged, and happy. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate, group-based, and highly active while keeping fun and safety at the center of the experience.

Campers will enjoy Mohawk’s state-of-the-art facility, including large open fields, shaded areas, and event spaces. However, this camp operates on a smaller scale than Mohawk Day Camp. Not all Mohawk activities—such as swimming pools—will be used during these weeks, and spots are limited.

What is the drop-off process?

There will be a moving car line for drop-off. It moves quickly and campers should be dropped off directly.

Can I walk my child in instead?

Yes. Use the bottom parking lot (slightly further down Old Tarrytown Road). It’s a short walk to the check-in area.

Who will be on-site at drop-off?

You’ll see Amazing Athletes Coaches (look for us in red jerseys).

How does pickup work?

Parents will remain in their car. Camp staff will use the CurbSmart system to confirm the appropriate guardian is present, then walk the child to the car and signal when it’s safe to depart.

Do children need to be potty trained?

Yes, all children must be potty trained to attend camp.

Are camp counselors and instructors background checked?

Yes, all counselors and instructors undergo Department of Justice background checks and hold current First Aid and CPR certifications.

What should my child bring each day?
  • Nut-free lunch and snacks
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Towel and change of clothes
  • Sunscreen and a hat (we’ll have extras!)
  • Closed-toe shoes or sneakers
Is lunch provided?

No. Please pack a nut-free lunch and snacks each day.

Is there swimming at camp?

No, there are no swimming pools on-site.

Will there be water activities?

Yes! Kids will enjoy luge runs, inflatable water slides, and Hydroblast water games daily.

Do I need to submit any forms?

Yes. All campers must complete the Camper Information Form, which is required by the NY State Department of Health. All campers must also submit a Health Form.

What information is required in the Health Form?
  • Height and weight
  • Allergy and medical history
  • Full immunization record
  • Physician’s signature or stamp
What if my child needs medication during the day?
  • You must also complete the Medication Authorization Form, which is linked inside the Camper Information Form.
